Artists are invited to meet the challenge of the intriguing upcoming exhibition focus at River Arts in Damariscotta. “Tools of the Trade” includes art work portraying instruments, objects and devices used to accomplish tasks in anything from cooking, fishing, painting to gardening, woodworking, car repair, or other undertakings. Submissions may portray the objects in use in a setting or as a still life. Art in all media is encouraged, including sculpture and photography.
Drop off dates for submissions are Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24, 10-4. For more information and entry form please check the website www.riverartsme.org or call 563-1507. Artists should note that works must not exceed 40” in height or width; for safety reasons, plexiglass or acrylic must substitute for glass in works larger than 35” on any side. All works must be for sale.
River Arts is located at 170 Main St. (Bus. Route in downtown Damariscotta next to the Skidompha Library. “Tools of the Trade” runs from Sept. 30 through Oct. 27.
