The Farnsworth Art Museum invites everyone to attend the first annual Fall Family Festival, to take place Sat., Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the grounds of the museum in downtown Rockland. The festival is intended for families with children ages 4 to 9 and is free of charge with a suggested donation of $5.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Farnsworth’s sculpture garden will be transformed into the festival grounds with a fall labyrinth constructed by Shore Village Builders Inc. of Rockland, strolling magician Rick Bernard, free-style pumpkin carving, decorating their own trick-or-treat bag, face painting, fall themed cupcakes and cider sold by The Maine Cupcake Co., and fresh pizza made and sold on site by The Uproot Pie Co.. Later on, all are invited back to the sculpture garden at dusk for the lighting of the pumpkins (weather permitting.) In case of rain, all activities will take place at the Gamble Center for Education at the corner of Union and Grace Streets.
