“Kitchen Americana,” watercolors by Jean Kigel

Jean Kigel, “Blue Band”

“Kitchen Americana,” watercolors by Jean Kigel will be on exhibit at The Bakery, in Damariscotta from Dec. 1st  through March 31. Specifically for this show, and atypically, Kigel has painted a series of vintage, baking-related items that compliment David Atwater’s traditional bakery fare.  If you like nostalgia, this show is for you.  Kigel’s watercolors include images of a 1930’s yellow-ware bowl with a blue band, an interpretive series of a 1940’s Sunbeam Mixer with its airplane-designed face and tail, and a 1950’s set of primary-color Pyrex nesting bowls. Kigel lives in Waldoboro and shows extensively on the East Coast.   FMI visit www.jeankigel.com.
