CRAFT gallery in Rockland opens for its third season with a reception Friday, June 1, from 5 – 8 p.m. introducing new work by Lincolnville artist Dudley Zopp. Her series, called “Warp Weights”, was inspired by stone and clay forms used as weights on the ancient looms of Northern Europe and Iceland. Zopp has exhibited widely in the US and has received the Maine Arts Commission’s Individual Artists Fellowship.
Joining her are contemporary furniture maker Gerald Curry and the pottery of Hanako Nakazato. Also exhibited is the newest work from Lissa Hunter, Christine Hamilton, George Pearlman, Scott Tubby and Jan Owen.
The show will continue until July 5. CRAFT gallery is located in the Courtyard at 12 Elm Street in Rockland, across from the Farnsworth Art Museum. FMI please call 594-0167 or visit craftonelm.com
