George Lloyd, “Contadina at Dark Casement”

Greenhut Galleries in Portland proudly presents “George Lloyd: 10 Figurative Works” with an Opening Reception Thursday, July 5, 5 – 7 p.m. Lloyd’s longstanding reputation as an abstract artist dates back to the late 1960’s when he completed his Master of Fine Arts degree at Yale University. While in graduate school, his painterly geometric compositions embraced the human figure and all of its attendant artistic traditions. Lloyd’s return to Maine in the early 1980’s brought him closer to home and family. In 2006 he was invited to show at the Portland Museum of Art with an exhibit of his architectural works, “Between Plan and Elevation.” For more information, visit greehutgalleries.com.
