Stadler Gallery opens its summer season

“Windfarm” by George Ebbinghousen

The Stadler Gallery in Kingfield opens its summer season with a reception 1-4 p.m. Sunday June 22 for two exhibitions showing works by Angie Blevins of New Sharon, and George Ebbinghousen of Rangeley. Blevins’ drawings and paintings under the title “Maine Trees, They Know” were inspired by the Maine woods.  Their magnificent trees surround her studio with massive branches that reach in heavy lines up into the sky. As a teenager Ebbinghousen was given a small paint set and, although he did not quite know what he was doing, started to paint anyway.  He remained faithful to his artistic vocation throughout the many years in a business career until 2006 when he retired, enrolled in the Art Student League in New York City and thus became a full time artist. The works will be on view from June 22 to July 11, for more information visit stadlergallery.com
