Waterfall Arts hosts “Harold Garde at 90”

An evening celebrating artist “Harold Garde at 90” will take place at Waterfall Arts in Belfast 5-9 p.m. Wed., June 26.  The evening will begin with a screening of Harold Garde/Working Artist/Directors Cut, directed by Dale Schierholt for PBS in 2008, followed by a question and answer session with Harold. This is a wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with one of Maine’s most popular artists. Harold Garde is a prolific artist who divides his time between Maine and Florida. In both places he’s demonstrated and taught the technique of dry acrylic image transfer he developed and named Strappo. A monograph survey of his paintings was published in 2009. This year Harold celebrates his 90th birthday and Waterfall Arts is honored to welcome Harold back for this special event in Belfast. Garde will also lead a 3-day strappo workshop at Waterfall Arts July 17th -19th from 10-1. Space is limited. For more information visit waterfallarts.org
