Blue Hill Bay Gallery’s “Summer Show”

“Maine Harbor” by Francis Hamabe

Blue Hill Bay Gallery invites the public to the “Summer Show” featuring 125 years of Maine seascapes and landscapes. The diversity of styles ranges from 19th century realist and luminist works by Harrison Bird Brown and Samuel Triscott to 20th century modernists like Carl Gordon Cutler, William Thon, William Lester Stevens and Francis Hamabe. Rounding out the roster are many new works by contemporary Maine artists such as Mark Haltof, Caleb Stone, Dennis Poirier, Diane Scott, Brian Banks, and JoAnne Houlsen. The exhibition may be seen throughout July and August. Carl Little’s newest book, “The Art of Francis Hamabe,” covers the life and work of this featured Blue Hill artist.
