gWatson Gallery presents “Paul Rickert: Place and Light”

“Moonrise” by Paul Rickert

The gWatson Gallery in Stonington presents “Paul Rickert: Place and Light” with a Reception for the Artist 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, August 16. Of this exhibition, Carl Little says “Rickert pays special tribute to Stonington, one of his favorite Maine landscapes and a touchstone of his life in art; they reconfirm Rickert’s stature as an American master of oil and watercolor. They also highlight his twin traits of romantic and realist. Rickert presents the world with a grace born of discipline and faith.”  Rickert divides his time between Maine and his native Pennsylvania. For over three decades he has conveyed the expansiveness of water and horizons, and the dramatic shifts in weather and light. Paul Rickert has exhibited all over the country, is featured in numerous publications and is the recipient of prestigious awards. For more information visit gwatsongallery.com
