Stadler Gallery showing Natalie Gardner and Clif Travers

“Guardian Tablet #3” by Clif Travers

The Stadler Gallery in Kingfield is bringing its summer exhibition series to a close with works by Natalie Gardner of Palermo, and Clif Travers of Brooklyn, NY. The show will be on view Aug 24 to Sept. 13 with a reception for the artists 1 – 4 p.m. Sat. Aug. 31. Travers is exhibiting two installation projects he has been working of for nearly ten years.  The Dream Tablets are large-scale encaustic pieces painted on panels with oils and beeswax. Travers grew up in Kingfield and studied at the University of Maine in Orono, Bradford College and the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, where he graduated.  He is also a writer and performance artist. Gardner’s passion is clay. With her exhibition “The Perfect Tea” she demonstrates her endeavor to find the perfect balance between function, beauty and comfort in handmade teapots.  “When tea is served,” she observes, “the visual effect of the vessel should be as rewarding as the actual tea itself.”  For more information visit stadlergallery.com
