Deer Isle Artists Association shows “SPECIFIC(S)”

“Burnt Cove Boats” by Paul Trowbridge

The Deer Isle Artists Association has 41 years as an art gallery representing artist members from the Deer Isle region and beyond. The summer exhibition season at the DIAA revolves around a series of two-week exhibitions beginning in mid May and running through mid September. These small group exhibits feature the work of 8 to 12 members whose work has been found to have some connecting thread. The current exhibit “SPECIFIC(S)” features the work of ten members representing an eclectic array of drawing, painting, photography, jewelry and sculpture.   The artists are Rosalind Ellen Bridges, Jerry Rose, Cynthia Stroud-Watson, Stroud Watson, Florence Setzer, Paul Trowbridge, Elizabeth Braunhut, David Kofton, Michael DeMatteo and Alice McKenna.  The show runs through Sept. 6.
