Wiscasset Art Walk Thursday

“Moose Detail” print by R. Keith Rendall

Wiscasset Art Walk is held on the last Thursdays of the summer months and takes place 5-8 p.m. this Thurs. August 29. Wiscasset Art Walk has generated much excitement in town as well as a renewed sense of community.  With the town’s studios, galleries, shops, and historic sites staying open late, wagon rides, music in the streets, and artisan demos, Wiscasset Art Walk is a fun and family-friendly way to experience and celebrate the arts in the Midcoast.  This new, invigorated atmosphere in the village has attracted one of this month’s featured artists, master printmaker R. Keith Rendall, to town.  Rendall has opened his new studio and gallery in the former Blooms storefront on Main St.  Rendell is a professional printmaker and artist with over 30 years of experience including 25 years teaching at the college and high school level.  He is co-founder and president of Midcoast Printmakers Inc., a non-profit organization, and is an expert on the history of etching and woodcut printmaking in the Renaissance. For more information please contact Ann Scanlan at 882-8290
