Archipelago Fine Arts Gallery presents Peter Ralston’s second artists talk

“Clearing” by Peter Ralston

Archipelago Fine Arts Gallery in Rockland presents Photographer Peter Ralston’s second artists talk at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11. A master raconteur, Ralston has a treasure trove of stories behind his iconic images of the Maine coast, several of which are now on display at the gallery through October 25. Behind each of his stunning photographs is an engaging tale drawn from his encounters with some of the coast’s most intriguing characters and natural wonders. Last month’s standing-room-only audience went away with a new appreciation for the special places and people that have drawn artists, poets and nature lovers to the Maine coast for centuries. Ralston’s encore appearance is once again a free event; refreshments will be served and no advance reservations are required, although early arrival is encouraged.
