George Marshal Store Gallery exhibitions for the fall season “Night Out”

“Five A.M” by Tom Flanagan

York’s George Marshal Store Gallery recently opened two new exhibitions for the fall season. “Night Out” brings together the work of four Maine artists: Michael Boardman, Tom Flanagan, Roy Germon and Jeff Woodbury. Concurrently, the gallery presents sculptural ceramics by New Hampshire artist Don Williams. Curator Mary Harding first met Boardman, Flanagan and Woodbury at the opening reception of Roy Germon’s one-person show “Constructed Views” presented by the George Marshall Store Gallery in the fall of 2011.  They were introduced to her as “The Art Dads” which is how they referred to one another. She followed up with studio visits and learned that they were all committed artists balancing their artistic careers with daily life.  Both exhibitions continue through Nov. 17.
