Northern Light Gallery open for Belfast First Friday Art walk

Northern Light Gallery in Belfast invites the public to a festive evening on Belfast First Friday Art walk from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Dec 6. Curator Captain Karen Miles has returned from the Wanderbird’s sailing season bringing new treasures from Labrador and Newfoundland artists.  The gallery now has have several new stunning labradorite, serpentine, alabaster sculptures by Inuit artists Gilbert Haye, John Terraik and Jonathan Kohlmeister. The evening will also feature photographs of the Arctic and lino-prints by Captain Karen and new works by all of our summer season artists, Lisa Lebofsky, Juan Pons, Ron Cowan, Kimberly Callas, Karin Spitfire and Dina Petrillo. The Gallery has also stocked up on cards, calendars and jewelry. We have our favorite Inuit art cards, plus Inuit wall and engagement calendars. Our reasonable priced showcase jewelry including leather, caribou, laborite bracelets, earrings, and necklaces from our artist Joan Peterson, Tobias Kojak, Harry Semiak and B. Merry. We also have new scarfs and wall hangings from silk painter Jane White. Northern Lights Gallery is located at 33 Main St.  Belfast, specializing in northern inspired, First Nations and Inuit art, as well as fine contemporary works that express a profound engagement with nature or sacred connection to animals and the natural environment.
