Carver Hill Gallery opens season with “Balance Point”

Carver Hill Gallery in Rockland is opening their 2014 season with “Balance Point” an artist’s reception 5 – 8 p.m. on First Friday, May 2. The season opener features the works of noted Maine husband and wife team J. Fred Woell and Patricia Wheeler. The title is the place where two creative people find harmony together, recalibrating their own personal journeys to find connection. Patricia Wheeler is a multimedia artist who focuses on community and connections, the collective stories, traits, and ghosts we carry as a society. J. Fred Woell is considered to be the first in the jewelry field to use found objects as social commentary. “Balance Point ” runs through June 3. For more information visit
