The Pemaquid Art Gallery presents long time associate of the gallery Jean Nelson Harris, and new member Bill Curtis. Harris has been associated with the Pemaquid Art Gallery for over 25 years. She is a member of the National Assoc. of Women Artists, American Watercolor Society, Watercolor M.S.A., National Watercolor Society, New England Watercolor Society and has exhibited at the Decordova Art Museum. Her current work focuses on images with close ties to home and a personal connection. William Curtis has recently moved to the area and already has established a reputation as an artist of note. He enjoys sketching outdoors, in oils, on mid-sized canvases which he later finishes in his studio. He has found favorite spots for his easel in mid-coast Maine on Barters Island and Porter’s Preserve though he expresses appreciation for all of the preserves in the mid-coast area.
