The Farnsworth Art Museum presents the full-length documentary The Natural Thing to Do: the Music of Ann Wyeth McCoy at the Strand Theatre 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22. Produced by Denys McCoy, Richard Rotert, Damon Sinclair, and Cliff Sears, and narrated by actor Richard Chamberlain, the film captures the talented spirit and story of music composer Ann Wyeth McCoy, daughter of N.C. Wyeth. When as a young woman her composition Christmas Fantasy was performed by conductor Leopold Stokowski and the Philadelphia Orchestra little did she realize she would be on her way to a creative career all her own. The Natural Thing to Do magically unveils the emotional forces that inspired her compositions. Filmmaker Damon Sinclair, narrator Richard Chamberlain, and family members including Anna B. McCoy will be on hand for a discussion. The Strand Theatre is located at 345 Main Street in Rockland. Tickets will be on sale at the Strand box-office directly prior to the screening.
