Bits and pieces2Jenifer Mumford, “BITS AND PIECES #18,”  2015  acrylic/collage  12″ x 12″

The Caldbeck Gallery, 12 Elm Street in Rockland, will open three new shows on First Friday, June 5, from 5 to 8 pm.  Downstairs, “Spring Light”, includes paintings by Elizabeth Awalt of Swans Island and Concord, MA, Jeff Epstein of Cushing and Brooklyn, NY, Nancy Glassman of Searsmont, Michael Reece of Searsmont, and Susan Williams of Rockport.

Upstairs, “Hour by Hour”, the work of K. Min, includes drawings in charcoal and in pastel, as well as paintings in oil.  This is her second solo show with the Caldbeck. Also upstairs, Jenifer Mumford’s recent body of work, “Bits and Pieces”, includes 15 collage paintings, each measuring 12 x 12 inches.  Masterful at working with found objects, turning them into constructions of her memories and life, Mumford found herself seeing the potential in her finished drawings and paintings for further exploration. She and Caldbeck have worked together more than 20 years.

Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 11-4, and Sunday 1-4.  For more information, please call the gallery at 594-5935.
