The Kingman Gallery is celebrating its new solo gallery space with the exhibit “Origins” photographic images by Blue Hill artist, Françoise Gervais.The exhibit runs through Sunday, June 28.
Gervais has been photographing people and locations on assignment for more than 25 years. Her professional career began as a photographic illustrator for Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) in Los Angeles, and for six years Gervais traveled the country photographing ARCO’s operations and providing in-kind photography for the non-profit organizations they supported. She then opened her own business in Los Angeles, and for 9 years primarily shot photography for corporate annual reports and brochures. In the early 1990s, Françoise moved to Blue Hill.
Along with the solo exhibits the gallery presents the work more than 16 Maine Fine Art photographers. The Kingman Gallery is located at 117 Center District Crossroad, Deer Isle, 1/2 mile south of the village on Sunset Road. For more information, visit http://kingmangallery.com/
