New shows take center stage as the Barn Gallery in Ogunquit hosts this years’ open juried regional show, a selection of photographs curated by Bruce Brown. Part of the 2015 state wide “Maine Photography Project” exhibits, this exploration of the art of photography shows the wide range of creativity and techniques within the photographic community today.
Also newly installed, the members show features new art from the diverse group of artists of the Ogunquit Art Association, one of Maine’s oldest and most well known arts organizations.
The North Gallery hosts two concurrent solo exhibitions: Jayne Adams, a NH fine artist whose work is primarily figurative oil paintings on wood panel supports, and Rosalind Fedeli, a collage artist whose work begins with the objects she is able to find, buy, or fabricate. She then creates the boxes and frames and assembles the objects toward her intention result in the final piece. Both of these highly regarded artists will be giving a talk about their work on Thursday, July 16 at 7:30 p.m. The midsummer shows are up through Saturday, July 25.
Invited New England Sculptors display three-dimensional work for sale in the peaceful outdoor Sculpture Court. Don’t miss the ever-changing array of small works of art available in the Collectors Gallery.
