Pen and ink drawing by Duane Bean

The Whitney Galleries continues its 2015 season our event for the month of September. This month’s show, our eighth for the season, is called ‘A Year in New England’. It is the first show for Duane Bean.  An Artist Reception is Friday, Sept. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at 1810 Post Road, Wells.

I am very excited to present ‘A Year in New England’, a unique view into the drawings of Duane Bean.  Duane has been with the Whitney Galleries just over a year now.  Duane’s use of pen and ink on paper as well as canvas really captures the harmony he sought for in the seasons of New England.    With a hint of watercolor on selected works, he brings the art of pen and ink drawing to life in a unique way. The many diverse scenes depicted in this show will draw you right into the world he loves so much.   You won’t want to miss Duane’s unique portrayal of the seasons of New England in his selection of scenes from various subjects of the New England countryside.

The show will run during normal open hours for three weeks, from Thursday, September 17 – Sunday, October 4, 2015. Hours are Wednesdays from 1 to 5 p.m and Thursdays through Sundays, noon to 6 p.m. You won’t want to miss it. For more information, visit http://thewhitneygalleries.com/
