The University of Maine German Club organizes an annual traditional Weihnachtsmarkt, or Christmas Market. This year’s event will be held at the University of Maine Museum of Art (UMMA) in Bangor on Saturday, December 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Christmas cookies, Stollen (Holiday bread) and traditional Christmas decorations will be featured. A little cafe will also be on site where decorations, coffee, cakes, Gluhwein (mulled wine, alcohol free), and Kinderpunsch will be sold. Proceeds will benefit UMMA’s exhibition and education programs.

Take this opportunity to enjoy some holiday cheer while viewing the exhibitions in the Museum Galleries! Featured artists include Paul Myoda, Traer Scott, and selections from the Bruce Brown collection, on display through December 31. UMMA is located at 40 Harlow Street.
