Seriously Altered Books Vacation Art Camp at Waterfall Arts

WaterfallArts

Seriously Altered Books is the focus of Waterfall Arts’ February School Vacation Art Camp held from February 17 to 21 from 9 am to noon. An altered book is a form of mixed media artwork that changes a book from its original form into a different form, altering its appearance and/or meaning. Bridget Matros, lively and skilled arts educator, will lead the group in different methods of giving books new life as art objects. The fee for the art camp, open to ages 9 to 12, is $140, all materials included. Space is limited; enrollments are taken on a first come, first served basis. A welcome grant from United Midcoast Charities provides partial scholarships for those who qualify for financial assistance. Visit waterfallarts.org to register and for more information on scholarships, classes, studio rentals, exhibitions and events.
